Gisaengchung watch online. It took me while to be able to sit and review this movie. It has been difficult, almost impossible to put down into words anything about it. I truly lacked the right words and was even afraid not to be true to its core.
Here's a film which leaves no one indifferent. It is certainly metaphorical in every aspect: the water that is both a blessing or a catatrophe depending on which side of the social pyramid one stands; the smell inpregnated in old people's clothes which both disgusts and arouses the rich couple; the large window in their house in comparison to the poor family 's basement window.
The question starts with a simple title: Parasite. Who are they? The ones in the basement, at the bottom of the pyramid? The ones in the middle trying to strive, even if they cannot get rid of the smell? The ones on top of that pyramid who pretend to accept others yet lack total RESPECT?
Or aren't WE all parasites somehow and loose perspective so often? Wasn't a camera leading our eyes all the time?
For the first time in my life I had a feeling of real movement while watching a film. Sometimes I was moving left, right, up or down. Sometimes I was watching. Others I was being watched. The window could be either a screen to the outside world, inside the house. I often felt watched in the movie theatre
Was I the parasite?
If this isn't the Best Film of the year, I don't know what it us.👏👏👏.

Done with it and in the end so much suspense is left, hoping will clear soon. Their son's painting is actually a key to the end, the ugly face is Moon-Gwang's husband (Geun-sae) there's an arrow pointing up which mean that Sae is coming up from the basement. At the painting, Sae is under a sunlight which reveal that he will come in the sunlight.

I loved this film and I wish I could love it more. Bong Jongho: Why? Wooshik, starts sweating nervously: Uhhhhh. The technology of the site allows you to play movies without problems even through a Smart TV. Some things I noticed/learned about the move. Spoiler alert First: Someone commented how unrealistic that the rich family never noticed the sliding door (with metal track on floor visible) that reveals the path down. And the rich couple don't notice the people hiding under the table. The rich couple don't notice things under them, because they don't look down. Consciously and unconsciously, they don't look down. They don't want to see/know/interact with what's under them, because it makes them uncomfortable, vulnerable, etc. That's a line the rich couple don't want to cross down. But the poor are always looking up. The poor family looking out the widow from the semibasement home. Looking up the steep path/stairs going up as they head to the rich family's home. Second: Also, the large window in the rich family's living room has the ratio of 21:9. When the rich look out from the living room, what they want to see OR inevitably see is entertainment. Like seen through a wide aspect screen. So many layers and layers of meanings in all the scenes.

FUN FACT: Yang Jin-Mo the editor used 11 year old discontinued software final cut pro 7 to edit. He's nominated for best editing at the Oscars this year. Watch gisaengchung 2019 online. Stop thinking all films needs to be English for you to watch. Its not the same if its dubbed either. They always have terrible voiceover actors.
